Reminiscing

The last few days have certainly been a blast from the past. I suppose breaking up with David and having more time on my hands prompted the first go round. Whatever it was, I started investigating Facebook and looking for people I went to jr. high, high school and college with. That led to a group site for my college in which there is a discussion group titled "Do you remember?". Someone just had to post about ISCA bbs and Cactus bbs. I lived on ISCA during my time at Cedarville. Didn't I, Jungmeister? Tolstoy, are you reading this? What about Tike, Hockey, Zipper, Topher and all the others I still don't remember! Well, that got me curious...was it still around? Thanks to google, I discovered that indeed, the ISCA bbs is still alive and well. Not nearly as active as it used to be, but it is still there and looking pretty much the same as it always has.

And now today I got a card in the mail that my mom forwarded from Georgia. Someone that I was friends with in elementary and Jr. High school has been looking for me. I haven't heard from her in almost 20 years..WOW!! I am sooo excited to reconnect with her and find out what she is doing in life now.

Very funny to think that last night I finally saw the movie "Meet the Robinsons" with its motto Keep Moving Forward. I'm trying, really I am. But it seems I keep getting pulled into the past lately.

On another, similar note, there is one friend from my past that I have found via the web that I would love to get in touch with. But I'm not sure how it would be received. we were minorly romantically involved in school with some pretty big complications and I wouldn't want him to question my motives now since I know he is married with kids. I really don't want to intrude or cause problems in the marriage, but it would be nice to be able to say hi and find out what they are up to. Any ideas?
